About us

Mniku (Island) Trading Post is Mi’kmaq owned and operated. Located in Epekwitk, Unceded Mi’kmaq territory also known as Mi’kma’ki. Our store is about Mi’kmaq language, culture, traditional knowledge and traditions by trading Mi’kmaq trading goods, such as, Mi’kmaq artisans work, products, and medicinal Indigenous Siku products.

We believe in delivering our valued customers, high quality products and services, based on the 7 sacred teachings. The 7 sacred teachings – love, respect, honesty, courage, truth, wisdom and humility.

We support other Indigenous communities and brands through Nation-to-Nation trading. As a Nation we are all interconnected.
